I didn't see this interview until watching this portion here on your site.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, my son's school had a "Famous American" program rather than any sort of "Black History" program. I heard a few people in the audience complain that the school never has such programs.
But, the Famous American program was really nice. It was diverse and stressed unity and the fact that liberty is for everyone in America.
Or at least, liberty should be for everyone. And at that school, they seem to be teaching that to everyone of all races.
Maybe that is better than having a "Black History" month. I can see where Morgan Freeman is coming from.
